How long have you been doing what you do and how did you become a Predictable Promotion™ Leadership Mentor?


Early in my career I was told by well-meaning, candid bosses that I did not have the prerequisite skills for executive level management or even a suitable personality to be a leader. They were not wrong and weren’t exaggerating. In retrospect I believe they were exactly right.

Their intention was not to criticize me but to help me understand the reality of why I was rejected for a promotion that meant the world to me and was my career dream. They were just trying to be honest and help me deal with the devastation of professional loss and personal embarrassment, and I appreciated their candor and insightful evaluation.

What they did not know how to explain to me, however, was what I needed to do to develop those qualities and skills that I lacked. They had no system or process for shaping me into a leader and preparing me for a promotion to the top of the company.

I was born a shy person and it was never in my nature to step into the limelight, toot my own horn, or stand up in front of a team and take charge. But beneath my introverted personality there has always been a lion of determination who firmly believes that we can be whatever we want in life if we have an intense desire. So I picked myself up, dusted myself off, and made up my mind to prove to everyone – especially myself – that I could earn that promotion.

I studied, analyzed, brainstormed, and experimented and came up with my own innovative system for ensuring a fast promotion against all odds. The next thing I knew I was in a higher position of leadership than I had ever imagined, and it was suddenly my job to identify top talent, get them on the succession list, and develop them into Fortune 100 leaders. I shared my system with colleagues and protégés, and that is how the Predictable Promotion System™ was created.

Designing and implementing the Predictable Promotion System™ accomplished two important things for me.

First of all it established my reputation for identifying top talent and developing high-performance teams – which is one of the keys to upward mobility in any organization. I became known for developing leaders at all levels, both within and outside of the organization, and that gave me tremendous value so that I could command higher salaries with better benefits.

Secondly, when my colleagues and protégés applied the same concepts and strategies I had designed for myself they also got quickly promoted into top level management positions. That convinced me that I had a powerful system and that I needed to further develop it so that I could share my insights and techniques with people everywhere.

1. Think Bigger About the Big Picture


We will begin by assessing your BIG career aspirations to determine what self-imposed beliefs, barriers, excuses, irrational justifications, or fears are preventing you from achieving your wildest dreams. Next we’ll determine what psychological or internalized obstacles need to be addressed and overcome so that you can succeed far beyond the familiar but limited boundaries of your comfort zone. Can I contact some of your former clients for references?


I maintain the strictest level of confidentiality for several important reasons. Many clients want to feel free to share with me their personal challenges – including highly sensitive issues – so whatever is spoken between us or happens in this professional relationship remains absolutely private.

Many high potentials work with me while scouting out promotions at other organizations or while working on a major promotion that might be jeopardized if their colleagues find out they are in line for it. Sometimes two colleagues from the same company will work with me, and they need to know that I will not reveal the fact that I am working with either one of them because they do not want the word to get out within the organization or the industry.

Because of the nature of this work I promise a high level of confidentiality and nondisclosure. Of course my clients are free to share as much information as they want with others – including you – but I am bound by professional ethics and cannot reveal specific names to anyone.

As a result I also have to maintain a policy of not giving out individual client name references. But I do provide actual case studies for you to read – where the names have been changed or omitted to protect identities. I can also give you an extensive list of other types of clients – including many well known companies within the Fortune 500 – for whom I have done less confidential or sensitive work.

How quickly can I expect results?


Obviously this depends on your starting point, career objectives, and level of commitment to the process. Notwithstanding those considerations, however, virtually all clients see results within the first eight weeks in the form of tangible personal and professional growth.
